SNUK - TWO FRONTS
De SNUK is ontstaan als strandhuisje. Deze zijn vaak eenzijdig georiënteerd. SNUK heeft geen achterkant maar twee voorkanten, en is daardoor tweezijdig georiënteerd. Dit maakt een oost-westoriëntatie mogelijk waarbij zowel de zonsopgang als de zonsondergang binnen in de SNUK kunnen worden beleefd. De beide afgeschuinde fronten optimaliseren de lichtinval en geven tegelijkertijd de balkons de nodige privacy.
The SNUK originated as a beach house. These are often unilaterally oriented. SNUK has no back but two fronts, and is therefore double-sided. This makes an east-west orientation possible in which both the sunrise and the sunset can be experienced inside the SNUK. The two sloping fronts optimize the incidence of light and at the same time give the balconies the necessary privacy.
SNUK on the roof

SUNK - outside inside
De SUNK is kleiner dan de SNUK, het is een ontwerp waarbij de buitenruimte onderdeel is van het totale volume van het huisje. Door binnen- en buitenruimte in elkaar over te laten lopen wordt de ruimtelijke beleving vergroot.
The SUNK is even more tiny than the SNUK, it is a design in which the outdoor space is part of the total volume of the house. By merging indoor and outdoor space into one another, the spatial experience is enhanced.
SUNK City
Met de SUNK wordt een nieuw type eenpersoonswoning toegevoegd aan het huidige aanbod. Waarbij de meerderheid van de Kleine Woning zich kenmerkt door autonoom en contextloos in een vrij gebied te willen staan, kan de SUNK juist op stedelijk niveau sterk en vernieuwend zijn. SUNK-city is een poging om aansluiting te zoeken met de meer traditionele rijtjesverkaveling in Nederland. Het is de schakeling van de ‘eenpersoonswoning’ die moet leiden tot kostenbesparing, en een meer economisch grondgebruik. Hiermee is het de meer realistische variant van een Tiny Housing settlement.
With the SUNK, a new type of a single-person home is added to the current range. Where the majority of the Small Homes is characterized by wanting to stand autonomously and without context in a free area, the SUNK can be strong and innovative on the urban level. SUNK-city is an attempt to connect with the more traditional row allotment in the Netherlands. It is the repetities of the "single-person home" that should lead to cost savings and more economic land use. This makes it the more realistic variant of a Tiny Housing settlement.
